Numerous songs recount stories of love gained, treasured, and lost. Tennyson wrote that it is better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all. Each one of us has been given a tremendous ability to love. Why? Because we were created by God, and He is love (see 1 John 4:16). His love is the greatest.
