Teach Your Children Well – Michael Youssef

“Unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labor in vain” (Psalm 127:1). Training children to love and serve the Lord, to be compassionate toward others, and to have consistent walks of faith is the most noble and important work any parent can do. Therefore, we should find great joy in the fact that the Lord has called us and entrusted us to be parents.   Never lose sight of the fact that you are training your child not only to take a role in God’s Kingdom on this earth, but also to assume a place and an inheritance in heaven.   Many parents wonder what the most important lesson is that they can teach their children. TO THE NEXT GENERATION – Michael Youssef

We want the best for our children. We work hard to provide them the best opportunities, education, possessions, and quality of life that we possibly can. But this earthly foundation is as weak as sand compared to the solid rock we have in Christ. The psalmist declared, “Unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labor in vain. Unless the Lordwatches over the city, the guards stand watch in vain” (Psalm 127:1). We work and work to provide for the next generation, but how often do we call out to God to form the foundation of their lives and to watch over them? Today we face forces that are attacking our future generations. These forces are unashamedly seeking to destroy our society, our morality, our faith, and our convictions.
